Frequently Asked Questions
What is Nomis?
Nomis is onchain Identity Protocol that enables users to leverage their onchain Reputation and get personalized web3 experiences as well as access special rates, powers, and eligibility for rewards. We also help BUIDLers to offer custom terms, rates and powers to their end-users by providing them with a Scoring infrastructure.
How to get the Score?
- Proceed to nomis.cc (opens in a new tab) and choose the type of Reputation Score to score your wallet.
- Once you get on the page of a certain Reputation Score, connect your wallet (ex. MetaMask).
- Solve the CAPTCHA to get your Score. At this stage, you are only checking your Score, but NOT minting it!
- To mint your own Reputation Score, click the button "Mint a Score"! By minting a Score, you're proving it on the Protocol Layer
How does the scoring work?
Nomis analyzes over 30 parameters, including, but not limited to: wallet balance, txs volume, wallet age, etc. Also, the Math Model behind Nomis Protocol could be flexibly adjusted to the needs and priorities of a certain ecosystem or project. It means that weights of parameters counted by Nomis Protocol could change from project to project. Thus a unique architecture could be provided.
Why should I mint the Reputation Score?
As more projects in the supported ecosystems (Ethereum, Polygon, zkSync, LayerZero etc) adopt the Nomis Protocol, you may be able to unlock personalized offers and rewards from projects: gain voting power based on your contribution, get score-gated access to communities, among other benefits including potential airdrops and retrodrops! Also, you're able to leverage your Scores through ScoreFront! It is a one-stop platform by Nomis that allows Reputation Scores holders to take advantages on their minted Scores by leveraging them into gaining perks, rewards, special terms and accesses through our partners offerings listed on ScoreFront.
Do I have to mint Nomis Reputation Score again, if my Score has changed?
Nomis Reputation Score is an SBT, so here is only 1 token per 1 given wallet. If your score has been changed and you want to update it – use “Update” button on the website! Updating the Score is an onchain action, and we charge the half of minting price as well as you have to pay some gas fees. It is not so necessary to update the score too often and you can still check it just for free!ㅤ
My Score is lower than 40 – is that bad?
The score can be low even if you are scoring your main wallet, but this fact is certainly not an accusation of your bad intentions or whatever. It just means that the onchain data doesn't provide enough reason to assign a score higher – you may not be the most active web3 user or you may not have used a given blockchain network.
How to increase my Score?
The short answer is: "Be active web3 user!" To be more precise, as it has been written above: there are over than 30 parameters are used for calculation and for some projects they are unique. But certainly, it is safe to say: the more onchain actions you perform - the higher will be your Score.
Is there any sense to mint Nomis Reputation Score, if my Score is lower than 40?
Yes, since the threshold of "40+" Score is only applicable to the Nomis Multichain Score for Sybil Prevention on Galxe, and not to zkSync Nomis Reputation Score!
Why are there different types of Scores?
Usually each ecosystem has its own criteria for scoring: it is important to evaluate exactly its users and their activity within the given network. This is why chain-specific Reputation Score such as zkSync Reputation Score appears. Multichain Score is more general solution that may be not suitable for every project and its team. But it doesn't mean that Multichain Score is useless (this one is already enhanced and adopted by Galxe): the next step of the expansions is to increase the utility of each type.
My Score has been decreased! What are the reasons behind it?
Here are typical reasons: decreased wallet balance and swap into non-readable by the Math Model tokens (including LP, NFT ones, etc). Also, important to note, your Score cannot decrease on the Protocol level until you Update your Score! Our team is continuously improving the Math Model to ensure it accurately reflects the Scoring, so we'll be adding more supported on-chain statements in future updates!
